What a lovely, lovely spot! We were there for the chicken special, absolutely fantastic! And fantastic prices! I highly recommend this place.

Worst experience I've had in a restaurant. We went on a Sunday night thinking the fish boil was every night.. it's only on Tues & Thurs. My husband & I decided to still eat there. The decor is a little outdated. We stood for over 5 minutes at the door before we were served. Got seated, took another 10 minutes before our waitress came to give us menus. We looked & decided to go with the chicken dinner special. Waitress came back 5 minutes later & we ordered drinks & food at the same time cuz who knows how long it was going to take. Another 10 minutes went by, waitress brought out 2 rolls (flavored OK but very hard), cranberries (nothing spectacular) & coleslaw (if u like nothing but watered down vinegar you might like this). Another 10 minutes went by & our chicken, stuffing,& potatoes & gravy came. The potatoes were cold & lumpy, the gravy was bland, the stuffing would have gotten my approval if it wasn't cold. The only thing hot was the chicken which again was nothing special. After we were done eating... yet another long wait. I noticed during this wait the majority of people were senior citizens.. not sure if that's the usual crowd. We didn't even look at the bill, we just handed the waitress our card to charge it immediately & left. There was nothing worth going for. Save yourself the agony & choose a different restaurant. I normally don't give bad reviews but I had such a bad experience I had to share it.

Descriptive phrase: fish-boil supper club. The Mill Supper Club is a pretty unassuming building from outside, but inside houses a nice, large bar and a sizable, separate dining area. We came on a Tuesday for their Fish Boil ($16.95) specifically. There were maybe 4 other tables, barely filling a third of the dining space. When we arrived there was already a slice of Cherry Pie in each table setting. They don't do the kitschy fish boil show, which is fine (having already seen one). It's all you can eat, but only a handful of people went for seconds. Delicious whitefish (careful for the bones, though the servers did offer techniques), fantastic whole carrots, juicy onions, soft red potatoes. A welcome addition I hadn't seen before was the ladle of butter sauce. Also comes with coleslaw and rye bread, which I didn't have. Overall a fine dinner at a reasonable price. Their Old Fashioned was just okay, but the well-boiled fare made up for it.

Step back in time for dinner! Chicken family style fit the bill for our family. The walleye pan fried was also delicious. Waitress was wonderful and very nice.

Literally like stepping into an episode of Mad Men. Classic food, like being served in someone's kitchen. We went for the fish boil. Great drinks, we had old fashioneds with brandy. Great service. Free cheese spread and crackers for appetizers.

The Mill is a classic example of a Wisconsin Supper Club. The food is great, the drinks are good, and the staff is friendly. They have two dinners that are worth trying. The Sunday night chicken dinner is awesome! It's also served Thursdays, I believe. It's all homemade and served family style. The perch is also really good. You can get it either pan fried or deep fried. Both options are excellent but I usually go for deep fried.

Yep, one star. We came here tonight, because there was a 1.5 hour wait at the Nightingale. We were unable to check out yelp because there was no internet connection in Door County on our phones. However, the picture provided on yelp pretty much sums the quality. When we walked in and saw empty tables, I wanted to leave, but we didn't. 4 things we had 1. Cheese Curds- These would be fine if they were in Illinois or somewhere not northern wisconsin, but no where near the quality you'd find at other resturants. They were lacking cheese, & quantity of curds. Ranch was great though ( store bought) 2. Brandy Old Fashioned- Solid drink, hard to mess up. 3. Perch Dinner- My girlfriend got the perch. Imagine if a perch died because it was forced to only eat butter for weeks, and you'll get an idea of what it tasted like. Also, the skin was on it. I'm not sure if that's a thing in wisconsin or a lazy chef, but it tased bad. Poor form! 4. Walleye Dinner - My dinner. Once again, I've never had fried fish w. the skin on it, especially a larger fish w. scalier skin like a walleye. I'm not a big fish eater, but it was gross. I felt like a zombie as I was going through the skin and making a whole mess of it. Overall, it was fried, gross, disgusting, and I wouldn't feed to Nazi's. So, yes. I will never go back here. I felt ripped off after seeing a check for $52.00, but am not the one to actually say something about it to management. After tonight, I'm having second thoughts on this-

What can I say, a Wisconsin supper club. Had the New York strip stake with baked potato and it was great. Great original bar built out out knotty pine and various hunting trophies hanging from the walls in a hunting lodge fashion.

Went there for their Saturday night special of roast duck. it was very good, moist tender and not greasy. They also were offering an all you can eat prime rib dinner this evening which many of the other diners seem to be enjoying. The atmosphere was your typical Wisconsin supper club so don't expect a fine dining experience. The extra bonus is that this is the only restaurant in Door County offering a discount through Restaurant.com
